Bio

Pradeep Alva is a PhD Candidate and Research Associate at the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore (NUS), focused on the topic of Urban Digital Twins (UDT). He is developing a 3D web map UDT application which will serve as a user-experience dashboard for decision-makers involved in greenhouse gas (GHG) emission mitigation and decarbonizing initiatives for cities. He also works as a Research Associate at the Urban Climate Resilience module, Future Resilient Systems (FRS) programme, Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC). He is part of the course development team of the NUS-EdX professional certificate programme -“Spatial Computational Thinking”, which teaches theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for leveraging computation to manipulate various types of spatial data. He has performed complex GIS models and designed various geospatial urban planning decision-making frameworks. He has developed a set of tools that automate the geoprocessing and assessment workflows for city planners. He holds a master’s degree (MSc) in Integrated Sustainable Design from the National University of Singapore and a bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch). Publication List…
